Antonia Vincenza Schreiber is a designer and material researcher whose work looks at how design can work with ecological cycles. Her practice sits between material experimentation and urban planning, exploring how locally available resources and regenerative systems can shape the way we design today. Antonia sees materials as active players in environmental, social, and economical systems.
Through field research and site-specific work, she traces how materials move from extraction to production, use, and decay, and in doing so questions how we think about resource consumption. By paying attention to overlooked materials and waste streams, she finds different ways of making that are tied to local places. She works with agricultural by-products, traditional building techniques, and community-led projects, using design to reveal the connection between material, landscape, and culture. Her projects often move from research to creation to participation.
Through this work, she's part of a growing conversation about regenerative design, material stewardship, and the role designers can play in connecting ecological systems with the built environment.
