First generation of tryouts.
Development of a tile, based on ancient plaster recipes, mixed with different binders.
Second generation.
After researching ancient building techniques for the last
two years, this project is brigding between different cultures that used lime in construction. Interesting outcomes can be made by combining binders in unusual combinations. The goal is to create a strong material with a low environmental impact.
Lime is known for it´s CO2 compensating properties, which makes the lime tiles not only lower in it´s production emissions, but also a natural air filtering system.
Third generation.
The further development of these new material combinations is openand can be ajusted towards different purposes, for example waterproofness, by linking back to ancient sealing techniques.
